Short description
Baffleword is a letter-dice word game for everyone: shake the board, trace words across touching tiles, and race the clock or take your time.
About the game
Baffleword brings the shake-and-search word game to the desktop with three board sizes and several ways to play:
- Tournament: the classic game on official timers, with high-score tables.
- Casual: no timer, a live count of the words left at each length, and optional hints.
- Custom: pick the board, the timer and the shortest word that counts.
A Daily challenge with streaks and shareable results is on the way. So is an Arcade mode: ten worlds of frozen, burning and overgrown tiles, wild weather, creatures such as a fire-breathing dragon and a time-slowing sloth, and boss fights.
Features
- Three board sizes, 4×4, 5×5 and 6×6, the biggest with two-letter dice
- Its own dictionary of over 200,000 words, built from open word lists
- Nearly 200 achievements, each with its own badge
- Light and dark themes, reduced motion, keyboard-friendly menus
- Plays offline, with no account needed
Art and audio
The game's art includes AI-assisted images, and this will be disclosed on the Steam store page. Music and sound effects come from credited CC0 and CC BY sources, and any AI-assisted audio will be disclosed too. The in-game About screen lists every credit.
